Virginia Varga

Virginia Varga, Ph.D. is founder and former Director of Gloria Dei Montessori School in Dayton, OH. Ginny is an internationally known Infant and Toddler specialist. She began the first Montessori Toddler Class in the U.S. in 1966. A member of the school consultation team of AMS since 1966, she served on the American Montessori Society (AMS) National Board of Directors from 1964-1972. She has a B.S. in education (University of Dayton), AMS/AMI Primary credentials (Greenwich) and an AMS Infant and Toddler credential. Ginny was inducted into the Ohio Women’s Hall of Fame. In 1999, she received an Honorary Ph.D. from the University of Dayton, Dayton, OH.  In 1994 Dr. Virginia Varga received the AMS Living Legacy award.
