For over three decades our Pink Reading Series has been the phonics material in thousands of classrooms, guiding many young minds as they enter the fascinating world of reading.

The Pink Reading Series is an excellent way to jump-start your reading program. With an engaging compilation of pictures depicting three-letter words across various materials:

    • Phonic Picture Cards (for the Moveable Alphabet)
    • Phonic Picture Cards with Word Labels
    • Phonic Reading Booklets
    • Phonic Word Lists
    • Initial Sound Picture Cards
    • Phonic Three-Part Cards

The Pink Reading Series materials support the children's' reading development.

The precursors to the
Pink Reading Series, the Initial Sound Picture Cards and the Phonic Three Part Cards, are introduced in parallel.

Initial Sound Picture Cards

227 picture cards
      8 pictures cards for each
          vowel and consonant

The children learn the initial sounds of letters through tracing the Sandpaper Letters in combination with the Initial Sound Picture Cards.

This activity serves as an indirect preparation for writing.

Once mastered, the Initial Sound Picture Cards serve as the foundation for forming words with the Moveable Alphabet (encoding), and reading, and matching word labels to pictures (decoding).

The Phonic Three-Part Cards consist of pictures that depict three-letter words and labels for the word for each image. Children utilize their emerging mastery of the initial sounds by matching the word label to the picture.

When the children utilize the Initial Sound technique, they realize that the individual sounds can be blended to form a complete word
